Parents of our 10U and 14U girls teams!
Welcome to the spring season! Sorry for the delay in getting an intro email out as we adjusted to the final news that I think everyone is going to be happy with.
The league has decided to change programming to better represent our growing community of girls lacrosse players and offer an even year group teaming!
With our makeup of registrations, our coaches have decided to field a 10U and 14U team. I think most of you will find this to be really good news as it plays well with our team dynamics and bolsters our ability to have FUN this year.
I've placed your athlete on the correct roster, in accordance with her age and want to offer these pre-season thoughts.
Log back in to our website
In there, you will want to navigate to the girls 10U or 14U team to check out rosters, SCHEDULES (yes tentative game locations and dates are in there), and know that this is the place you will go to catch up on all your TEAM NEWS.
When on the schedule, you might want to take advantage of the calendar feed option. On the top of the schedule page is an "options" button that if you click on it, you can subscribe to a calendar feed. If you are familar, this allows your calendar to subscribe to our site and get updates integrated right into your personal calendar. As a reminder, this is THE source on what the team schedule is.
Girls 10U will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays, 530-7pm at Naranja Park. Same field as we've been practicing at.
Girls 14U will practice Mondays (once we get some field space), Tuesdays and Thursdays 630-8pm at Naranja Park. Same field.
Our first practice day is NEXT TUESDAY!
Meet your head coach and team manager
In reorganizing, we have some great head coaches! Coach Mike will be the head coach of the girls 14U team and Rachel will lead our 10U girls.
Team Manager Maggie will be our Girls 14U manager. We now have a vacancy in 10U manager and would like to fill that ASAP.
The skys the limit in making this amazing for our athletes
BUT, that means we have the support of our parents. We are currently looking for a 10U manager, and a good support of parents to: carpool, host team bonding events, get the girls excited for gamedays and I really would like to see our parents step in to fully support our teams this year.
Expect a follow up email from the managers, once we identify some early needs for our team, but reach out soon on how we can get these girls excited for their new teams now.
